Dr. Stanley Karanja is an experienced development and agricultural economist with over 15 years of professional expertise. His career includes:
- Research and consultancy roles with CGIAR Research Centers, International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), and International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI).
- Academic appointments at University of Nairobi and collaborations with major African and international institutions.
- Specialized experience in Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) of agricultural and agroforestry interventions, climate-smart and adaptation strategies, agroecological system design, and soil and water management for sustainable development projects.
Dr. Karanja has led projects across Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Rwanda, South Africa, Peru, Colombia, the Philippines, Cameroon, Mali, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Ghana, applying data-driven approaches to sustainable development, agricultural productivity, and environmental policy.
